Today’s most exciting film music is in the spotlight in Los Angeles Master Chorale’s season finale. The ensemble that has lent its voices to numerous soundtracks performs music from John Williams’s
Star Wars: The Last Jedi—which the Master Chorale sang for the film. The top-grossing movies of the year are represented here as well, with music from
Captain Marvel and
Us. We're putting our focus on the music, so there will be no film accompaniment.
Also on the program are opera choruses from Verdi’s
Nabucco, Puccini’s
Madama Butterfly, Leoncavallo’s
Pagliacci, Philip Glass’s
Akhnaten, and more.
