thought to have studied with Byrd after having been a chorister at St. Davids, where his father was organist; received a B Mus in 1607 from Magdalen College, Oxford

Notable Compositions:
Songs of 3, 4, 5 and 6 parts

Assignments:
1596 appointed organist in charge of music at Worcester Cathedral; 1620 became a gentleman of the Chapel Royal where he worked alongside Orlando Gibbons
