9 symphonies, 5 piano concertos, 1 violin concerto, 32 piano sonatas, 16 string quartets, his great Mass the Missa solemnis and an opera, Fidelio

Assignments:
patrons included Prince Lobkowitz and Prince Lichnowsky, as well as Archduke Rudolph, youngest son of Emperor Leopold II, and Count Andreas Razumovsky

Curious Facts:
hearing began to deteriorate in his 20s, and led to being almost completely deaf; after this, dedicated himself to composing rather than performing
