Miserere mei, Deus, written for two choirs, which was later transcribed from memory by 14 year old Mozart

Assignments:
obtained a benefice in the cathedral of Fermo; later received an appointment to be in the Sistine Chapel Choir at the Vatican as a contralto

Curious Facts:
one of the earliest composers for stringed instruments, and is credited with the earliest string quartet
