Bio:

Soprano Courtney Taylor was born in Santa Cruz, CA. Courtney performs regularly with Los Angeles Opera and the Los Angeles Master Chorale both as a chorister and soloist.  Ms. Taylor graduated from USC earning her Graduate Certificate in Vocal Performance 2014. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Manhattan School of Music, NY and a Bachelor of Music from Chapman University. Courtney is a newly preference chorus member of Los Angeles Opera where she has sung in 20 productions; most recently The Tales of Hoffman conducted by Placido Domingo. Courtney has also performed small roles at LA Opera, including Bridesmaid in their 2015 production of Le Nozze di Figaro. Ms. Taylor has extensive solo oratorio experience.  Some notable performances include the Soprano soloist in Handel's Messiah and soprano soloist in Haydn's Creation, both with Angeles Chorale. Recently, she was the soprano soloist in the Mozart c minor Mass with Concordia Masterworks 2016 as well as the soprano soloist in the Beethoven 9 with the San Diego Master Chorale. Courtney attended the Aspen Opera Theater Center 2014 where she had the honor of singing the role of Marie along side Deborah Voigt in Rufus Wainwright's opera Prima Donna. Ms. Taylor has performed internationally, singing the title role of Suor Angelica in Viterbo Italy with the Tuscia Music Festival ILAR.
